Hi, I’m Allie :)
The owner and founder of Zip Vintage, an independent vintage and second-hand clothing shop based in Melbourne.
For the longest time, I loved second hand and vintage clothing, but I never felt quite ‘cool’ enough for it.
So, I decided to create my own vintage shop.
One that focuses on community, and matching people with the perfect item that makes them say, “Oh my god, this is so me”, without the exclusivity.
My favourite part of running Zip Vintage is seeing that moment happen in so many ways.
Seeing the genuine glee and excitement when someone picks up something that aligns with how they see and want to express themselves, or having their friend run over and hand them something that matches this. Or having someone message me saying something they bought online fits them like a glove and they absolutely love it.
The. Best. Feeling.
All the pieces here are handpicked thoughtfully and with the hope that they will be worn and loved again. When I am sourcing, I am always imagining the person who might end up finding the piece, and it’s such an amazing feeling when the right person actually connects with an item I have found.
Clothing is such a powerful way of expressing yourself. I am here to make connections between incredible one-of-a-kind pieces and the right person.
I am not here to rush you or make you panic-buy something you don’t need. I am here to help you find the item that feels like you.
